So why is it that you want to buy a tiny house?

If we haven't officially met, my name is Jen. I'm the owner of Teacup Tiny Homes, and designing tiny home layouts is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. 

My biggest goal when designing tiny homes is to build living spaces that foster connection. I want to create layouts that draw families together, make way for artists to find inspiration, and guide vacation rental users toward the relaxation they seek.

You live closer to your things when you live in a tiny house. And this means you'll notice them ten times more than you would in a traditional home. 

It also means that if you like your tiny home appliances and upgrade features, you'll experience the joy tenfold. But if you don't like them, er, then they're really going to drive you crazy!

Fortunately, you don't have to worry about that second scenario happening to you because we've scoured the planet looking for the very best farmhouse sinks, waterless toilets, and tiny house kitchen appliances on the market. 

But while there is no wrong choice, you will still have to figure out what works best for you. And since if you plan to fast-track your tiny home journey, you'll also need to get a real estimate of how those choices will affect the cost of your tiny home.

Tiny home financing can cause people stress. Even if it leads to a lucrative vacation rental or the luxury tiny home of your dreams, it can be scary to talk about money. That's why we'll keep this section short and bullet-point the steps. Just work your way down.

Did you know that a tiny home down payment of just 5k will get you in our build queue? 

(And that's in Canadian dollars; if you live in the United States, it will be even less!)

Tiny Home Parking

You might be surprised that we left tiny home parking for last. After all, isn't it pretty important that you have a place to put your Teacup?

Well, yes, and of course, we want you to find the perfect tiny house parking spot! But here's why we suggest you wait until you have a spot in the build queue before searching for tiny home parking: once you find it, you'll need to start paying.

We are proud of our turnaround times here at Teacup, but the process from design to delivery will take about 4-6 months. And so unless you want to pay rent at an RV or tiny home community that entire time, it's best to wait to find parking until that process is underway.

So when should you start looking for tiny home parking? When you are three months away from taking possession of your tiny house.

Fine print disclaimer: it's a good idea to do general parking research before you embark on a tiny home journey. You'll want to have an idea of what your options are. Just don't let it stress you out in advance.
