Teacup Tiny Homes 2022 Recap
Jan 11, 2023Teacup Tiny Homes 2022 Recap
Is it 2023 already?! Who authorized this?!
We are as excited as anyone to welcome a new year, but can we just say that 2022 was a whirlwind?
WHEW! There was so much tiny house fabulousness in such a short period that our team at Teacup is wondering if it's possible we dreamt it all.
To make sure we didn't- and to catch you up on anything you might have missed- we decided to do a recap of all our 2022 highlights. We want to make sure you know everything that happened, so you can take advantage of all Teacup Tiny Homes has to offer.
Now get ready for that recap because we’ve been busy!
- We moved into a bigger tiny home warehouse.
Demand for our Teacup tiny homes has shot up, and we couldn't be more grateful. This demand, however, caused us to outgrow our old warehouse. So ironically, we had to upsize to help you downsize!
Our new warehouse is located in Lethbridge, Canada, and is 15,000 square feet. We're excited about this because now our build and logistics teams can work under the same roof.
And why should you be excited about this? Because we can now accommodate more builds in a shorter amount of time. Who's getting a tiny house this year?!
- We introduced The Teacup Academy.
The tiny home movement is relatively new, and so we know that when you decide to buy a tiny home, you're sure to have plenty of questions.
That's why we created The Teacup Academy!
The Teacup Academy is an online portal that gives you access to information about the build process, how to handle delivery day, and how to protect your Teacup tiny home forevermore.
Here at Teacup Tiny Homes, once you're a client, you're with us for life. So rest assured that the support continues long after we hand you the keys!
- We cleared up that rumor about park model homes.
Did you know that we build park model homes? Because a bunch of people didn't!
Oops.
Our bad. In case you missed the memo, you should know that we can build you a traditional tiny home on wheels OR a park model home.
What's the difference? In a nutshell, park models are wider and are built to slightly different standards.
We love park models because they give us more room to play around with tiny home design, but there are benefits to each type of home.
And don't worry if you're not sure which is right for you; we'll go over that when you book a Discovery Call.
- We introduced some new luxury tiny home floor plans.
2022 was filled to the brim with tiny home inspo!
Of course, we have many of our gold-standard models available, but this year our team was proud to introduce some new tiny home designs, including Ellie, Florence, Bernice, and Amelia, just to name a few.
You'll want to stop by our gallery to see them all, but can we just say that we heard you when you said you wanted a tiny house with a downstairs bedroom? Oh, and the small kitchen of your dreams?
And speaking of the small kitchen of your dreams...
- The Whispering Birch Airbnb opened in the Crowsnest Pass
So many of our clients want to 'try before they buy' a tiny house, and we get it! After all, deciding to buy a tiny house is a big decision.
The Whispering Birch is a luxury tiny home Airbnb located at Crowsnest Pass in Southern Alberta.
And we might be a little biased, but it's a dream tiny home!
The Whispering Birch tiny house features two lofts as well as a downstairs sleeping area. There's a big table for family dinners or game nights, and we promise there is more counter space in that small kitchen than you will know what to do with!
Still on the fence about booking yourself a weekend?
In that case, you should know there's an awesome local brewery and restaurant right down the road. There are also three ski resorts! The Pass Powderkeg, the Fernie Alpine Ski Resort, and the Castle Mountain Resort are all located a short distance away.
We'll leave the booking link here. You know, just in case. ;)
- We were able to exclusively offer four year-round tiny house parking spaces!
As tiny home builders, we know how stressful it can be to worry about where you can legally park a tiny home. So we decided to do something about it!
2022 was the year we offered our clients four legal tiny home parking spots at Crowsnest Pass in southern Alberta.
Tiny home dwellers are welcome to rent them, and yes, you can legally park a tiny home all year round.
Who's coming to breathe that fresh mountain air?!
~
Whew! We told you 2022 was packed!
And we haven't even covered the new team members who've joined us, our financing partnership with Liberty Bank, or the various home shows we were lucky enough to be a part of!
Growing a company, strengthening a team, and increasing skills are never easy tasks, but we are so grateful to be stepping into 2023 with strong energy. And you know what? We have you to thank for that.
Can we just say how much we appreciate your support?
Whenever you read a blog post, leave a comment on Instagram, or send us an email about your tiny home plans, you give us the faith to keep going. It's like you hop on our shoulders for a second to whisper,
No, you're not crazy. That simple, beautiful, sustainable life is actually possible.
And it is. After all, we've seen it happen for Teacup owners time and time again. Still, it's nice to hear.
2022 was definitely a year for the books, but can we tell you a secret? We have a feeling that 2023 is about to be even better.
Maybe it will be the year we build your Teacup tiny house?
We hope so.
Until then,
-Jen
