Great News: Your Future is Trending.

…and a Teacup tiny house is your ticket to living life on your terms.

You know that you only get one life— and you dreamed of a beautiful one.

You want to raise a family, be there for aging parents, have the flexibility to say yes to your dream job, and the resources to take that unforgettable vacation with your spouse.

But somehow, *reality* has you working all week to pay for a life you don’t enjoy. What resources? What flexibility? Vacation? Uh.. maybe if you put it on a credit card??

You suspect a tiny house could be your ticket to freedom, but there is one nagging problem: what if buying a tiny home is a terrible idea?

If you are reading this, it’s because you’ve taken steps toward a tiny home journey. Emphasis on the journey part. You’re weighing a big decision, and the mental battle is real.

Hence your hesitation.

But if you've been circling your tiny home dream for months (or years!), you've probably done your research. You've followed tiny homes on Instagram, watched YouTube videos, listened to podcasts, and more.

But what have you not done? Bought a tiny house.

And why not? Because every time the subject comes up, you flush your tiny home dreams down a worry spiral.

Maybe it sounds something like this.

I want to buy a tiny house, but what if…

…a tiny house is a bad idea because interest rates have increased?

…my friends and family are right to express doubts about the lifestyle?

…it would be better to wait until I find a parking spot?

…I get a bad house and end up living a tiny house nightmare?

…the tiny house lifestyle just isn’t for me??

THERE IS HOPE

If any of this sounds familiar, please take a huge breath of relief because actually…

✅ Tiny home loans have far lower average interest rates than credit cards. (And we have a trick to effectively lower your rate even further!)

✅ Friends and family have a way of coming around when they see you stress-free and happy.

✅ It’s best to get your build underway before you secure an official parking spot. (After all, once you find parking, you’ll have to start paying for it!)

✅ Teacup tiny homes are built to higher standards than some traditional houses!

✅ And if tiny living wasn’t for you, why the heck would you think about it so much??

Here’s the thing.

Your dream of owning a tiny house is not frivolous. In fact, it’s a pretty freaking smart way to take control of your biggest expense. You deserve to live a life that allows you to focus on family, hobbies, and the things that are important to you— the world literally needs that.

And that’s what makes a tiny house such a powerful tool. Because when you gain control over a basic need and your biggest expense, you free yourself to focus on what matters.

So is a tiny house how you set yourself free?

YES! Bring on my Teacup tiny house. I'm setting myself FREE!

If you’ve been considering a tiny house for a while, you’ve probably looked at a few different builders. So what sets Teacup apart? So many things!

Teacup tiny homes are intentionally designed to foster connection. They are structurally built to stand up to the toughest Canadian winters, and they offer even more functionality than most full-sized homes!

And did you know that Teacup Tiny Homes has been in business longer than most tiny house companies?

There is a reason our build queue books up!

Now let’s talk specifics…

Sure, we’ve thrown out a few benefits, but you’re probably wondering about specifics. So let’s talk about those! Here are a few things that make Teacups better than the competition.

  • Our certifications.
  • The fact that heated floors come standard.
  • The R-value (hefty-ness) of our insulation.
  • Our communication (we will be in constant communication throughout your build.)
  • Our famous stairs.
  • S-T-O-R-A-G-E.
  • Our well-known track record of happy clients.
  • The fact that our builds are done in-house and not outsourced to a secret builder.

And that last one? That happens. Fortunately, with Teacup, what you see is what you get!

#Transparency

So you’ve decided that a tiny home is right for you, and that a Teacup is a well-built house, but…

Still feeling unsure?

Hey, that’s OK! We know these things take time. We also know that it can be hard to believe someone when they are selling something. That’s why we’re going to hand the mic to one of our Teacup customers and let Lorraine tell you about her Teacup experience!

“Sometimes when life throws you opportunities, you have to jump in, go forward, and swim through it, knowing that what’s ahead is going to be pretty damn wonderful.”

We love Lorraine, but we imagine you’ll want to hear about more than just one person’s experience. So here is what other Teacup owners have had to say about us!

What made you choose Teacup Tiny Homes?

Teacup was well organized and everything in the builds showcased attention to detail. Seeing others who have gone with Teacup live in their builds for many years was important as well. Knowing they have longevity. The ruby plan caught my eye, as well as a few others. They were [well] designed and reviews were fabulous. They are built for Canadian temperatures, which is very important.

The main thing was build quality, professionalism, documentation, insulation, and the Academy. Even the difference in tone from Shireen and Jen compared to most builders, with no hesitation giving us all the information we needed regarding specs, prices, legal information and how you worked with us and what we needed. We were also impressed with your Instagram, and Shay followed it for a couple of years [before purchasing].

Three things:

  1. Size and style of your builds.
  2. Being Canadian-based made me think you’d understand how to build for Alaskan snow loads and weather.
  3. Female-founded [company]- gotta support my sisters!

This all sounds good, but do you offer any kind of guarantee?

Yes! We have several.

At Teacup Tiny Homes, we guarantee…

Certification. For tiny homes on wheels, we built to CSA Z240 RV or Z241 Park Model Standards. And for clients in the USA, we certify to NFPA 1192 Recreational Vehicle Standards through RVIA. Our foundation series tiny homes are also certified and conform to the National Building Code of Canada as well as CSA A277.

Communication. You deserve to be kept in the loop throughout all stages of your tiny home build. That's why we send you regular photos, do video walkthroughs, and get a real, live human on the phone when you have questions. You won't be talking to a robot or a voicemail if you choose us as your tiny home builder. You'll be talking to Ben, Jen, or Shireen!

Transparency. Some tiny house builders build under a *brand* and then outsource their builds. Some use fake photos to build a website and collect tiny house deposits before they've even built a single house. Some build hype on Instagram (instead of building houses) and create a queue so deep they have no hope of ever delivering you a house— at least not a quality one in a reasonable amount of time. And don't get us started on the inexperienced tiny home builders who go bankrupt mid-build!

At Teacup, we refuse to let your tiny house dream become a tiny house nightmare, and we are committed to showing you what's behind the curtain at every single step. We've said it before, but we'll say it again, #Transparency.

Warranty.  Every Teacup tiny home comes with a 1- year warranty on defects and deficiencies but more importantly, we use materials and appliances that have their own warranties that will serve our clients for years into the future.  We even have a little brochure for you in The Teacup Academy that outlines the guarantees and warranties.

Lifetime Support. Our team at Teacup knows that home ownership is bound to throw questions and the occasional curveball your way. That's why we created an entire Teacup Academy to support you in navigating everything from tiny house insurance to long-term maintenance of your tiny home.

And finally, we guarantee this:

When you're with Teacup, you're with us for life. If you need help, just call.

I've heard enough! I'm ready for my Teacup.

OK, but how do I know a Teacup is really and truly for ME?

Ahem. A Teacup tiny home is really and truly for you IF…

    • You want to be a homeowner.
    • You want the flexibility to move easily (for jobs or family).
    • You want to enjoy rental income (or part-time Airbnb income when you travel!)
    • You value luxury, coziness, and simple living.
    • You want a more sustainable life.
    • You’re ready to break up with high utility bills.
    • You want a tiny home builder you can trust.
    • You’re tired of spending all your time at work to pay for a house you never get to enjoy.
    • You seek the perfect blend of aesthetics + functionality.
    • You want to focus on people and experiences over things.
    • You are committed to living life without regrets.

YES! That’s ME!

 … but I still have questions…

Still have questions? Hey, we totally get it! After all, you’re not trying a new shampoo— you’re buying a freaking house! Of course, you want to know everything!

Here at Teacup, we’ve noticed that tiny home owners have a certain *something* that sets them apart. They are adventurous, for sure, but they aren’t reckless. In fact, we find that people who buy Teacup tiny homes tend to be observant and ask a ton of high-quality questions before deciding to go with us.

Does that sound like you?

If so, here are some questions past clients have asked before signing a build contract. Maybe you have them too!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much does a Teacup tiny house cost?

A. $150,000.00 to $250,000.   That's in Canadian dollars. If you live in the USA, you'll pay even less!

Q. Shouldn't I find tiny home parking or a location first?

A. For a foundation build, YES

For a tiny home on wheels, No. But let's talk this through. If you find the perfect spot, you'll have to start paying for it today. Landowners are unlikely to save it for you while we build your house. It's a good idea to research parking options, but wait until your house is ninety days from completion to start seriously looking.

Q. What about tiny home interest rates?

A. Tiny home interest rates are a little higher than they were a year or two ago, but credit card rates are often higher. Also, talk to your lender to see if you can overpay your mortgage a bit each month to effectively bring your interest rate down. #TinyHouseHack.

Q. What about resale value?

A. At Teacup, we think through the entire lifecycle of our tiny homes. And that includes resale value! It's true that tiny houses technically depreciate, but things like demand, inflation, the increased cost of building materials, and more can affect resale value. In fact, many people who bought their tiny homes a few years ago are finding they can resell them for a profit in today's market!

Q. How do I know a Teacup tiny home is a good house?

A. Well, hi! I'm Jen—  the owner, and I've been designing houses for more than twenty years. I've also been designing and building tiny homes for longer than most tiny home builders have been in business! I build Teacups to meet both U.S. and Canadian standards. The homes are third-party certified and come with photos of the entire build process to show you what's behind the walls. I also use closed-cell spray foam insulation,  (R24 in walls, R 35 in floor & ceiling) which is greater than what's in many traditional homes here in Canada!

Q. How do I hook up my house? What about winter? And where do I get tiny home insurance? I need so much help!

A. All great questions. And that's why our team created the Teacup Academy, an online learning portal that walks you through the details. And remember, when you're with Teacup, you're with us for life, so if you run into problems, seriously, just call. We'll do our best to help you troubleshoot any issues— promise.

Note from the founder.

Dear Tiny Home Enthusiast,

I started building tiny homes because of a deeply rooted belief that the world would be better if people could break away from conformity and thrive rather than just survive. So it’s my hope that you will use your Teacup to free yourself- whatever that looks like for you.

Your tiny home journey will be your own. It will have its twists and turns, its joys and surprises, and teach you lessons you’ll carry forever. But however the details of your story unfold, I hope your Teacup facilitates you living your highest truth because we need that now more than ever. We need what you have to offer.

In a moment, I will present you with the magic link to set your tiny house journey in motion, but first, I want to thank you for taking the time to consider us. It’s been an honor. And if you do say yes…

May your Teacup tiny home journey be the adventure of a lifetime.
